Greetings Fashion Families from your
Principal, Daryl Blank. We only have 5
instructional days until Regents exams begin.
After school and weekend tutoring is in full operation. Tutoring schedules for Math, Global History,
United States History, Living Environment and Earth Science are on the school
website. Please make sure you are
touching base with your child and they are going to the tutoring they need.
Tomorrow, June 6, is a First Monday bell schedule. As you know with a First Monday schedule,
students will be dismissed from school early and our staff will be meeting in
teacher teams for professional development.
First period classes begin at 8:30 am.
Second period classes begin at 9:09 am.
Students who finish school after 8th period will be dismissed
at 1:43 pm. Students who finish school
after 9th period will be dismissed at 2:22 pm.
This Thursday, June 9, is a professional development day for
schools and no students will be in attendance.
Regents will begin next
Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Please
understand that Regents examinations are high-stakes tests that students need
to graduate high school. A complete
Regents schedule is attached to this email and posted on our school website. Please make sure that your children attend
the exams they are scheduled for and have studied for these exams. Students have been given their exam
invitations – they have until tomorrow to let their guidance counselor know if
there is an issue with their schedule.
When students come to
school for these Regents exams they should bring: #1 - Exam tickets / #2 –
Student identification card / #3 – 2 pencils and 2 pens. It is important that students DO NOT BRING ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
to school on days they take Regents or RCT examinations. The presence of this electronic equipment
with your child will result in their score being invalidated and given a 0 on
the exam. This electronic equipment
policy is New York State law. Please
contact anyone of our Assistant Principals—Ms. Moore (English); Mr. Kohm (Math);
Mr. Rodrigues (Social Studies); Ms. Frank (Science) - if you have any specific
questions about these exams.
