Greetings Fashion Families from your Principal, Daryl Blank. 

The January Regents administration will begin on Tuesday, January 24 and go through Friday, January 27.  Our main test is the English Regents, primarily for our 11^th graders.  When students come to school for these Regents exams they should bring: (1) Exam tickets (2) Student identification card and (3) 2 pencils and 2 pens.  If your child does not an exam on a particular day, they do not have to report to school on that day.

It is important that students DO NOT BRING ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT INTO THEIR TESTING ROOM. We tell students to put their electronic equipment in their lockers before their exam.  The presence of this electronic equipment with your child will result in their score being invalidated and given a 0 on the exam.  This electronic equipment policy is New York State law. 

Please contact anyone of our Assistant Principals—Ms. Moore (English); Mr. Kohm (Math); Mr. Rodrigues (Social Studies); Ms. Frank (Science) - if you have any specific questions about these exams. 

Thank you to all the Fashion families that have contributed to our Air Conditioner campaign.  Fashion families need to understand that it is going to take every single HSFI family to contribute to this campaign – if every family gives what they can, we will hit our goal and get air conditioners in every single classroom.  Please do not think that some other family will take care of it.  We have an amazing opportunity with the anonymous donor matching all our donations up to $50,000.  Please give what you can.  Remember all donations are tax deductible.

If you or someone you know wants to write a check to contribute to the campaign, the check should be made out to HSFI Alumni Association.  Your child can drop it off in Room 819 or it can be mailed to the school at 225 West 24^th Street, New York, NY 10011 and made to Attention to me, Daryl Blank, Principal.

As usual, every week I am going to highlight the ways in which our HSFI families can volunteer to support the school.  On Monday, February 6^th from 9 am to Noon, seniors will be getting their caps and gowns measured in the student lounge - volunteers are needed to help organize students as well as manage the photo station that will be set up for the day.  We have a Homecoming Dance scheduled for Saturday, February 11 – we would appreciate any parents who would be willing to chaperone the dance.  Please contact me directly if you are interested in these volunteer opportunities.

Make sure you and your child are checking Jupiter Grades to know where they stand in their classes.  Students should be checking their HSFI email every day.
