The Fashionable Times Blog Principal's Message 10.15.17

Greetings Fashion Families from your Principal Daryl Blank.

As you are planning your schedule for the week, I hope you can attend our October Parents Association meeting this Wednesday, October 18 at 6:00 pm in the school auditorium.  At this meeting we will have our annual Financial Aid night.  This informational session is for parents of all grades whether you are the parent of a senior going to college next year or a parent of a 9th, 10th or 11th grader.

HSFI is thrilled to continue again this year our Family Visitation Days on Thursday, October 26 and Friday, October 27, 2017. During HSFI Family Visitation Days, you will be able to observe your children in action in their classes.  You may come and leave when you wish during those days.  During your child’s lunch period, you and your child are invited to lunch in the Principal’s conference room.  Assistant Principal Danielle Silva will be welcoming you in the school lobby and giving you an orientation for the visit.  We want to get an idea of how many parents will be visiting and let the teachers know you are coming, so please register online that you will be attending by using the below survey link.

This registration link is also on the home page of the school website under Fashion News and HSFI Parents at www.fashionhighschool.net
Please remember that this is not a day to conference with your child’s teachers. You will be able to do this during Parent- Teacher Conferences on November 9 and 10 or by appointment through your child's guidance counselor. As always, HSFI is committed to our partnership with our families!

Attached is the flier for our Parent Visitation opportunities:

This Monday is our annual College T-Shirt Day.  A large majority of our staff will be wearing a t-shirt, sweatshirt or some sort of gear from the college that they attended.  The day will hopefully have a motivating effect on our seniors who are beginning to work on their college applications and get our 9th, 10th and 11th graders thinking about the college process.

Please be aware that with new NYC Department of Education procedures it will take 3 days to get a replacement Metro Card if students lose or misplace their MetroCard.  Families will be responsible for your child’s transportation for the 3 days that it will take to get the replacement Metro Card.  The moral of the story – students should take care of their Metro Card!!!

The organizational school planners are in - they are available in the FLY school store.  The planners cost $4.00.  We had approximately 200 students pre-order a planner – until Wednesday, the planners will only be sold to the students who pre-ordered them.  After Wednesday, all students can purchase planners on a first come, first serve basis.  The $4 price will be the same.

Thank you

I would like to bring this to the notice of the public about how i met Funding Circle Loan PLC after i lost my job and been denied loan by my bank and other financial institution due to my credit score. I could not pay my children's fees. I was behind on bills, about to be thrown out of the house due to my inability to pay my rent, It was during this period my kids were taken from me by foster care. Then i set out to seek for funds online where i lost $3,670 that i borrowed from friends which i was rip off by two companies. Until i was referred to Funding Circle Plc by a very good friend, so if truly you are in need of a loan i advise you contact this Godsent lender via Email: fundingcapitalplc@gmail.com OR Call/Text +14067326622 and be free from scam' Jennie Cortez by name from United State
